Do seven week old chicks still need a heat lamp? Temps are in 80s and 90s during the day and in the 70s at night.

Typically, no. When they loose all their fluff and have their adult feathers, they don't need a heat lamp. I normally remove the heat lamp at 6 weeks.

Thy should be fully feathered by now, and thus able to regulate their temperature without the help of a heat lamp

Good to know since I don't have electricity out at my coop and it would take a long long extension cord to get it set up. Thanks for answering!
