Do silkie hens do well with a rooster of another breed?

I'd like to add some silkies to my flock, currently consisting of 2 red stars, 1 white leghorn, and 1 black star led by an australorp rooster. I noticed that many craiglisters sell silkies in a groups, usually a roo with a few hens, so I am wondering if silkies hens do well with roosters of other breeds or if they need a silkie rooster. Thanks

they probably sell them with hens and roosters because a lot of people like to breed pure silkies
if you do get the silkies just make sure the roo doesn't hurt them at first because they are small
