Leghorn mating ratio...Holy crap!?!?!?

I have a rooster I raised in my flock from 12 weeks on with young and older hens. They ran from him lol
Oof, I think Ginkgo would most likely thump some manners into any cockerel. She's my friendliest bird but she will sometimes attempt to chase the cats if they've been away for a while and show back up. Basil also doesn't take any crud from anyone. Those 2 at least would teach any cockerel manners I think. Although given I don't have any plans of ever hatching, unless I get a surprise cockerel, I don't think I'll find out

I'm on crackle hatchery's website preplanning an order of leghorn chicks. I want to buy half my leghorn flock in May/June, and the other half during winter time to ensure egg production year round as well as for breeding and selling...I'm looking at the mating ratio they state, though...12 hens to 1 rooster? If I were to breed them in a semi professional manner, it would seem that one rooster to 12 hens wouldn't seem sufficient... I always thought the rule was 4-6 hens per rooster, and I thought this was relatively true across most breeds... What do you guys think? (I'm probably wrong...)
I ordered some brown leghorns a couple years ago and still have 3.They lay very good and don't cost a lot to feed but they need more room than many other breeds. They're very active and will pace .Every time I entered the coop they'd fly all over the place.
I had to move in slow motion so they wouldn't hurt each other.
Mine came from Murray McMurray and are the healthiest chicks I ever raised but I can't catch them.I rehomed most of them

Thanks! Good to know.

I have roos, thanks though! And more chickies to grow into replacements, because I only keep them long enough to breed a couple batches, then replace them with their progeny. lol
Wish I could do that but the ones I have now are pretty good with hens and people! I have alot of roosters and cockerels again. Still sorting and sifting. My two oldest will stay till they die. King and Sultan are my best boys and will be 3yrs in August of this year.
