do silkies have itchy ears??

it seems my silkies scratch their ears more than the others, more head shaking also. is this normal silkie behavior?

i would be worried about an infection or mites

Mine do sometimes... I think maybe the fluff on their heads can irritate them. But, better safe then sorry- check them anyway.

they shake more when i talk to them. so you think its vibrations on their feathers?

I dont see any mites. also they are still inside in the brooder..

My Silkies shake their heads when I talk to them . I use their name and head shaking begins and when I stop talking to them it subsides. My lead was first to talk with me ,once a few others learned their names they followed suit.Perhaps they are acting like a teenager ,their appetites and mood swings would top some teenage/ human behaviors
