Do Silkies Lay Brown Eggs or White eggs?

My chicken book does not say what color Silkie's eggs are so can someone tell me?

Surprised no one answered yet. Silkis lay peewee size eggs. One book said white and somewhere I read cream color. I have 3 white silkis 9 mo. old and no eggs yet

To answer your question, silkies lay medium sized cream/off white eggs. I know from experience

Here's welsummer and wyandotte pullet eggs on the top and a pullet silkie egg on the bottom. Its from one of my darker silkie layers. My other silkies lay varying shades of light brown, cream or ivory eggs. I have never had a white silkie egg but some are pretty pale.beige

I've had silkies before and they lay a pretty cream/light brown color

So the longer egg is a silki. I have found some eggs that look like that but never thought it would from my white silkis! I am surprised, thought they would be much lighter. Now I need to check the eggs like that to see if they are feritile so I can find out who is laying and get the girls a place to nest in. Now I am really excited!
