Do "teen" chicks need to dust bathe? Confused about DE

I am a little confused about if 3-4 week old chicks need a dust bath area. Mine are in a large box with pine shavings. I bought some DE but then read some conflicting info and not sure if it should be used at all, and especially used for small chicks. Should I just bring in some sandy dirt from outside? Or just wait until they go out to the coop in a few weeks. Thanks for helping this newbie.

I would just take them out on warm days and let them! Mine are 5 weeks and don't take dirt baths much.

You don't need to provide dust bath areas in the brooder. I don't use DE for anything.
