Do they eat the false dandelion too?

I'm still gathering info for my please-change-the-chicken-rules letter to the town officials.

Do chickens also eat the weed known as "false dandelion"?

I know they eat regular dandelions and plantains, any other particular lawn/garden pests they love?

Mine go crazy for grasshoppers, grubs, moths, and anything else that they can get their beaks on! Good Luck

I do not feed mine the false dandelion because of the milky substance it has in it. I do not know if it is poisonous or not.

False Dandelion is a MAJOR lawn weed in this area -- more so than the real dandelions that don't cope as well with the heat and sand.

If chickens eat this it could be a major point in my attempt to get town regulations changed.

Yes, they LOVE false dandelion. It's fine for chickens (and edible for humans, though not as palatable as the true dandelion). I'm clearing my new property of the stuff one chicken treat at a time.
