Do they inherit temperament/personality? Is it breedable?

I'm not so much looking for show birds as I am for ones with the good temperament/personality. Is it a breedable characteristic? I have a couple that are wonderful as in coming when called, wanting to be held, like human attention and very gentle and docile. If I breed those in particular will the offspring inherit any of it?

From what I know, you should be able to breed for temperament. Maybe a breeder will be able to give you some insight.
