Chickens have been hatching eggs for thousands of years without human intervention. Trust your hen to know what to do. When she is ready, mama will take her chicks off the nest to eat and drink. my hen hatched 4 chicks at day 22-23, after that she didnt sit as much, she was up showing the chicks where to eat and drink and I threw out the remaining 2 eggs, she was right they were duds.
