Do those anti predator things work?

Hey all I recently noticed a coon close to my house and I'm worried about my birds. What I want to know is do those anti predator things with the light in them work?

I've seen them work for Owls but nothing seems to phase the Possums and Coons down here

Possums and Coons are my main concern. I set a trap last year to catch it and it was strong enough to break the metal clips that was holding one of the panels on and escaped.

I had 2 chickens killed the other night. I suspected a coon. I bought a trap and caught 2 in 2 days.
Of course I had to shoot and bury 2 coons this weekend. I'll set the trap again tonight.
Trap worked great.

The best way I have found to rid myself of raccoons is a live trap loaded with tuna fish. Then I shoot the masked marauder. MiF
