My banty hens are unusually small, even for bantams. My dh says they should just get chick grit, I love him,but he is NO expert, though he would beg to differ....What do y'all think?

I have nine bantam orpington chickens and I feed them the chick grit since they may or may not be able to physically eat the larger chicken grit. As far as I know the only difference between the two grits is the size. I have no plans to change them to the chicken grit. So I see no problem giving them the chick grit. In fact I bought a whole years supply of chick grit in the spring when it was on sale at Tractor Supply when they were selling their baby chicks.
