If you like the Twilight series, try looking up Anne Rice. She's the author of Interview with the Vampire. Her vampire books are famous.

I haven't read the Twilight books yet, but my fav. vampire/paranormal author is Laurell K. Hamilton. She is a fantastic writer and I can't get enough of her books. Try the Anita Blake Vampire Hunter series or the Meredith Gentry series. Both are fantabulous series. Very steamy scenes in both, so reader beware!
