Do white tailfeathers indicate sex?

The pic above is my roo.
I noticed that some of my other "pullets" have them. But only a few. Does The white indicate the gender

You know, I've noticed my black breasted red type roosters get white at the base of the tail. I know it's a bad thing for breed standards, but I've never had a hen get those same feathers. I do have a little mutt girl who has regular white feathers at the base of her tail, she looks like someone dripped paint on her hind end, but they look different than the white on the roos.

I wouldn't use it as a gender identifer, there are always other things to go by.
