We had frick and frack but lost frick so now just have frack. SHE ALWAYS complains she is never happy. You can hear her in the morning when I go to let them out. She's not a favorite but she does standout.
Then we have little roo who is a black english game and HE is a favorite. Sweet natured always good to the babies, never beats on babies. Is good with the ladies. Have had him for 4 years now and frequently put him in with the babies as a sitter. When introducing new ones to coop at night, I just put them next to him and they are fine. He will even put a wing around them.
Current favs are Snow a bantam cochin who talks when you talk to her and comes to you. Miseltoe a houdan I had to nurse thru a toe thing. And Speckles a very sweet specled bantam.
We have 26 and only a few have nick names.
Have decided I like the buffs best of all, good layers , calm and sweet and can go broody and are good moms.
I like the looks of our barred rocks,(have 5) but won't get more of them.
