Just got some babies today. It's been awhile since we've had babies. Seems like to me we added duramyacin for the first some days, but can't remember. We also have 2 ducklings as well. Do we give it or not if so how much? Thanks abunch

I just looked this up on the internet and see it is an antibiotic. Why do you want to give it to them? Are they showing signs of an illness? I personally would not give them any medication unless necessary. Humans don't take antibiotics to prevent illness so why should animals? Just my opinion.

The only thing I've ever added to my chickens water is a tiny bit of apple cider vingegar. I'd never medicate them unless warranted, leave that for the factory farms.

No prophylactic Duramycin for the chicks-only if you have a known illness among your flock. Stick with medicated starter feed with a coccidiostat to prevent coccidiosis in the young ones. Nothing else needed.
