Do you agree that the Muscovy duck is the ugliest duck breed?

Its hard to believe that he is a chocolate barred!!! He still has chocolate barred feather on his undercarriage, but as a juvenile he was chocolate barred all over!

Now I miss my Muscovy. He was solid black with the smallest bit of of the face stuff. He's been gone a long time now. My dog got him through the fence when I was still in high school (95/96). He was beautiful and sweet. Maybe I'll have some again.

Oh!!! Losing a duck to predation is the worst. So sorry. You should definitely consider getting more! Ducks bring cheer to life.

I think some Muscovy ducks are beautiful. They look like a bird that would have come from long ago. Imagine a dinosaur bird mating with a beautiful shiny duck. It is like a blast from the past in a modern world.

I admit that when my daughter first said she wanted this breed I tried to sway her to other breeds because I thought they were so ugly!! But soon after getting them (they started growing on me. Now we have had them for going on 12 years and I absolutely love them and think they are beautiful. They have been the only breed we have owned until this year. I have a drake that is dark blue (?) with black in his caruncles. We call him DJ. He is a pretty cool dude.
