Do you butcher your meat chickens in front of the rest of the flock? Can chicken guts be given to the chickens to eat?

Sometimes chickens will watch the process. I prefer not to give them raw poultry, though, it could potentially spread disease the birds had, even if they were raised together for their whole life.
