Just wondering if i'm supposed to candle my eggs before I put them in the incubator or wait to candle till after they've been incubating for the first week?

Ok thanks

I'm new, but I candled before to spot any small cracks. We practiced on supermarket eggs, and go figure, they had a ton of cracks not visible without the light.

I have candled before I put the eggs in the incubator to look fro cracks that may not be obvious. I have also hatched an cracked egg that I discovered when I did my first candle of a hatch at day 10. The crack wasn't obvious so that is when I stated to candle before I put the eggs in the incubator. I usually candle at day 18 too when I set the eggs for hatching.
