Do you let your chicks hatch on the wire? What else do you use?

There are all types of things you can use. Wash clothes, pillow cases, dish towels. that shelf stuff. Pretty much anything you want.

I do. But I've seen some use egg cartons, nonslip shelf liner and toilet paper roll rings.
