The past 3 years .. I have been on this site because I was new to chickens and raising chicks some. Today, I am here for a different reason. I sold most of my chickens last fall because my dad has come down with cancer. My chickens took up a good amount of my time, therefore, I had to downsize my flock to care for my dad. My dad is doing ok for now and has some time left. (His cancer is terminal - bone cancer). My dad lives in the country & he feeds wild geese daily. Canadian Geese fly to his field each morning and evening. They wait for him to arrive. He adores feeding them. He can be in bed hurting and sick .. and he finds the strength to go feed his geese. He use to carry two 5 gallon buckets of cracked corn to them each feeding. He was no longer able to carry the buckets .... so I was able to find him a golf cart to drive on his property. I have also left my job to help my dad ....and my mother is living too ... and she is 87 .... so they need my help often. I don't have an income at this time .... so I am just wondering if anyone might have a book on Canadian Geese they might no longer need ? If so .... I would be willing to pay for the shipping ... if someone would like to give their book a new home. It can be an old book. My dad does not read story books or novels .... but he loves National Geographics (which I have ordered a subscription for him) ... and he loves books on birds. He does not have a book on Canadian Geese ... or other type geese. He told me today Geese are coming to nest on his pond again. I know he would love to have a book to learn more about the geese. A book like this would help get his mind on something else for awhile. This was just a thought to see if anyone might be doing some spring cleaning ... and have a book.
