Do you have a sign on your coop?

My inside sign is going to read, "No Cocks allowed" for 2 reasons. #1 I'm the only girl in the human house, so I figure the hen house ought to have no boys allowed. And #2, the city prohibits roosters, big time. (It was going to be above the front door but the hubby objected.)

As for my outside sign, not sure yet. Love the ideas though.

Does putting the electrical wire and water in the pvc pipe help the water from freezing in the winter? that is one problem I am having... my coop is about 300 feet from our home and the water has already froze. So I have an extra two waterers that I switch back and forth and carry out to the coop with warm water. I am "like you said" getting muscles...LOL...

You should be very proud.. a lovely home and yard.. GReat job!!

The PVC pipe was for protection for the wires I believe. Unfortunately, this won't be good enough to keep the water line from freezing in the winter. It will be back to carrying water jugs down to the girls. The heated water bowl is a wonderful invention though. We didn't have them back 30 years ago when we had our chickens. I remember kicking those rubber bowls to get the ice out. So I'm grateful.

I have the letters to make my sign on the coop... "Clucknstuff"... I got them at Micheals and I want to paint them different colors... just like the old puffnstuff show... and on the run do a puffnstuff look alike chicken... but this will be next spring... I will post pics.

Thank you very much! It wasn't hard to make, I made three of them. The other two are on our horse run-in sheds.
