Its 5:30 pm here in norther Wi, and its still light out and 2 of my hens decided there going to roost already! huh, There the older girls, mainly my flock is 1 year old birds, but 3 of them are 2 years old and the 2 birds who desided there going to roost are both two years old. Huh maybe trying to get a early start for tomorrow.

Do you have any?

One of my Andalusians is always first in, just before it starts getting dark ... last week I opened the gate for them all to run round the garden just before bedtime ... it was raining and she stuck her head out of the gate, decided against it, and took herself off to bed - the others had all gone charging out!

Geoffry, my main roo and 3 of his girls are always up to roost first.

My leghorn and splash polish are always the last two up... but they lay the most eggs.

My houdan rooster and his ladies head to bed early around 5pm and rest flock head bed around 6pm

My EE roo is usually in the rafters about 4:30 with one of his girls. I think he likes it as a lookout. You walk in the coop door right under him.
