Do you have cats?

We have one and it is stalking our chicks. We have a coop with a l-shaped yard around 2 of the walls. It is all fenced in, but I'm afraid the cat will find a way in. We have 7 foot high fence but trees are near the fence. He can climb. We have cement blocks against the bottom of the fence to detour any digging, but I still wonder if he will be able to find a crevice to slid under.

What have you done about pets?

A lawn chair, a hose pipe and a water nozzle will convince most cats that they don't want anything to do with chickens. Sit quietly in the lawn chair and when your cat displays interest in your chickens give the kitty a good soaking. It's best if the cat doesn't connect the water with you.
