sort of kind of maybe. Depends on what kind, and where you live exactly.
 
There is no such license. Every state has its own import requirements. If you want to ship to a state, check that state's Department of Agriculture website for import regulations. Health certificate and/or NPIP certification may be required.
 
Not exactly......... In michigan you have to get a license or permit from the DNR in order to "propagate, sell or distribute" any part of the bird, live or otherwise, eggs etc. You don't need a license if it is less than 12 birds for personal use, but over that............. Oh btw, coturnix are exempt in michigan because they are a non-native non invasive species.

For chickens, you may need the AI check on your flock like you said. There is another bill running through the house that would prevent those of us with backyard flocks of chickens from selling our eggs in farmers markets regardless......
