Okay so I have been breeding and selling since December. I started out with Easter Eggers but now have several other kinds. So I don't ship chicks but I was wondering about shipping eggs....coming down to my main question. Do you have to be NPIP certified for people to want to buy you eggs and to ship? I also was wondering do your eggs need to be show quality? I have pics of my breeders. I hatch
Golden Sebrights ( hatchery quality I think)
Easter Eggers
Leghorn Easter Eggers (project)
Silver Duckwings (hatchery quality or show quality??)
OEGB mottled x Silver duckwings (mix)
Silkies (pet quality)
Silver Sebrights (show quality??)
Please tell me what you think of my birds. Thankyou! Any advice/thoughts would be appreciated!

You have to be Npip to ship over state lines. A lot of people won't buy eggs that are not from npip places
Okay so I could only ship them within my state if I wasn't? I guess I wouldn't ask as much for my eggs if I wasn't Nipi?

Some states require it interstate too. But over state lines is a blanket requirement. As for asking less, that's up to you. Personally it doesn't make a difference to me, since I only buy from npip unless I really trust the source

You have to be NPIP certified to ship out of state and probably in your state too but not sure. I'm assuming more people would purchase from a NPIP flock. I would have your birds as hatchery/non show quality/mixed breeds

That's what I thought too. But I wasn't sure on the Silver Sebrights. They are turning out really nice so far! I can't wait till they start laying!

Npip only test birds for AI so for me thats absolutely useless which is why I dont ship eggs. As id want birds to be tested for mg more then AI because that effects birds and hatching eggs.
