do you have to wait after you take eggs out of the refridgerator to in

I personally would let the eggs "rest" on the countertop for 12 hours before I incubated them. This will allow them to come to temperature gradually. I'm not positive it does any good, but it definitely won't hurt anything either.

Just so you know, many people prefer to leave eggs they know they are going to hatch on the counter rather than in the incubator because of the belief that the cold damages the embryo. On the other hand, there are many people on this forum who have successfully hatched eggs that had been in the refrigerator for a week or more.

Good luck

I've had eggs from the fridge hatch. Although they were fresh (like 4 days or less. I think that because they came straight out from under the laying hen, and straight into the fridge that development had not yet started. Take them out and put them under the hen and the embryo then starts to develop once the right temp and humidity conditions are met.) I did let them come up to room temperature before I put them under the hen. (I just didn't think it would encourage her broodiness if I set 6 cold packs underneath her.)
