I believe it's all in the mind. By cleaning their feet you get rid of the visible stuff, but it's the microorganisms that really matter.because then whatever was on their feet is going to be on me.
Well yes, they are chickens and their feet will never be clean but if they are dry-ish and don’t have a turd or dirt stuck to them then I stay relatively clean. One time I got back from a trip and I went to give Spice (my speckled Sussex) a hug but I picked her up about six inches off the ground only to realize that the grossest poo was stuck to her footI believe it's all in the mind. Scary!!
I'm not entirely sure that was what your point was, neither do I know that what I said was true
I did do science at school but I don't remember much, clearly.
Haha, my hen June Bug has poopy feet in the mornings and a few mornings ago she jumped on my head!! With poop caked on her feet!Well yes, they are chickens and their feet will never be clean but if they are dry-ish and don’t have a turd or dirt stuck to them then I stay relatively clean. I felt bad but she kicks so if I were to hug her I would have ended up with that turd smeared all over the front of my coat
Sorry for the long post![]()
Ok. I don't care what CDC says. I have hugged my chickens like 55929296995591984591925 times.Today I learned the CDC says you shouldn’t even touch a chicken. That you can catch it and spread it just by touching one.
