Do you know what breed he is?

The SF are a very docile breed. My Roo has never fought or even attempted to be in anyway unruley.

Congratulations! Nice looking boy - good comb, and beard, does he have the 5th toe? Looks like he has a nice, clean hackle....His color should change a little more as he matures.

I have 2 roos (brothers) one is better developed than the other....at 5 plus months old, one doesn't crow (yet) and the other isn't very verbose (compared to my Cochin roo, he talks to the girls incessantly!). The quiet one doesn't chase the girls, but the other does....

Thanks again for letting me know. I do think he is a handsome guy! He hasn't started crowing yet, he is 6 months old. Is that normal? I would love it if he never started because we live where your not allowed to have chickens, let alone a rooster. @kyfarm we are in Florida.

I think some Faverolles are slower developing. I have one that's almost 6 months and he hasn't crowed yet. But his brother, same age, does.... go figure!

Well of course he starting crowing on Friday, so he has moved to a farm. Thanks for all the post. I have and order coming in Jan of Dorkings, so maybe I will get another cool chick with them.
