I use papertowels to clean my counters along with a bottle of Simple Green. I mix it myself and it saves a ton of money, that I use for the papertowels-lol! I know I should use a dishcloth, but I never have any washed, so.... I also use a sponge for my dishes, but nuke them for 30 seconds after I get done using them.
I would think that a vacuum cleaner would be number 2 on the list, especially the roller brushes on the bottom! All the junk they're picking up....ugh
I have felt grossed out by our sponge many times and wondered if I am making the dishes cleaner or dirtier with it. I've heard they hold a lot of germs before. How do you disinfect it the best? Is the microwave really the best way? I've also read that you can't (for example) cook raw meat in a microwave because it doesn't kill all the bacteria, so does it clean a sponge that well? What about putting a sponge in the dishwasher?
If you don't use a sponge, how do you clean the crusty dishes your DH leaves all over the house?
