do you know what carries the highest amount of germs in your house?

YES! but washing and putting it in the microwave can help reduce the germs and bacteria ....lol

thats why I dont use a sponge and I change my dish cloth every other day, don't know if that helps or not but given we dont have a dishwasher...

I use papertowels to clean my counters along with a bottle of Simple Green. I mix it myself and it saves a ton of money, that I use for the papertowels-lol! I know I should use a dishcloth, but I never have any washed, so.... I also use a sponge for my dishes, but nuke them for 30 seconds after I get done using them.

I would think that a vacuum cleaner would be number 2 on the list, especially the roller brushes on the bottom! All the junk they're picking up....ugh

No, my kids do!! LOL

That is why we don't use those things or bathcloths in the bathroom.

On dishes I use SOS pads and toss them.

I have felt grossed out by our sponge many times and wondered if I am making the dishes cleaner or dirtier with it. I've heard they hold a lot of germs before. How do you disinfect it the best? Is the microwave really the best way? I've also read that you can't (for example) cook raw meat in a microwave because it doesn't kill all the bacteria, so does it clean a sponge that well? What about putting a sponge in the dishwasher?

If you don't use a sponge, how do you clean the crusty dishes your DH leaves all over the house?
