I remember a conversation between my mom and another lady at the store. The other lady believed that all egg started out brown, the browner they were the more germs they had. The stores got rid of the germs by using special refrigerators and Voila! after a while the dirty old brown egg turned white. I must say I wonder if she would leave her eggs in the fridge for a really long time to get rid of more germs? Just where the heck to you get that special fridge and if a chicken lays white eggs does this mean it has some sort of special way to refrigerate them before they lay them?
I was only about 10 at the time but I remember thinking the lady was nuts.
