I should have worded it "favourite" if you want to go technical on me. Different breeds do have their own distinctive tastes in case you did not know.

From what I have been told and have read, Buff Orpingtons are supposed to be very appealing to the taste buds. I am very anxious to try one for the first time. Probably end up roasting my first, or...of course frying it :)

this is my first year with chickens and i have to say my 6 buffs are my absolute favorite out of the 25 i currently have! they are my oldest birds right now at only 4 weeks but they are so friendly it is unreal. and have been from day one. they crack me up everytime i go check on them, its like they hear me coming and are all eager to be the one who is gonna get picked up and cuddled first. im trying with my other birds but they just dont seem to like the attention like these girls do. i genuinely think they love to be handled. even the hubby who is so sick of chickens at the moment and says ive gone chicken crazy, goes and checks on them first thing when he gets home. picking each one up and saying "hi there lil girl!" its pretty cute!

Aww! That is cute! Every morning I go out to Let the chickens out of the coop. The buff orpington is the loudest out of all of them. There is a window in the coop and she will put her face against it to see me. It is so adorable!

I'm not a fan at all. Love Orpingtons but not buffs. One of the breed/varieties that I would never own again.
They are very popular which imo is their downfall. Hatcheries have flooded the market with poor examples of what they should be.
Kinda like trying to get a good heritage Rhode island red breeder to get excited about hatchery RIRs.
