Do you like or dislike shopping for clothes?

I detest shoppimg... With two exceptions.

When it comes to camo hunting clothes, I cod spend hours upon hours in the store. Put me in a store like Cabella's or Bass Pro and you might as well drop me off when it opens and pick me up when it closes- and plan on doing the same thing tomorrow.

The other exception is pajamas.

I hate shopping for clothes, and especially shoes. When you are 6' tall clothes buying is awful.
Sure jeans might look great at the store if I can find my size in a pair thats not crack showing low, not urkel high, and doesn't have rhinestones and golden shiny words across the butt. Then send them for a trip through the washer, suddenly the jeans are 2" shorter

better make sure my socks match because everyone knows what color they are.

Shoes are terrible, I used to buy ladies merrells then they decided to change factories or something because the sizes shrank, what used to be loose is 1/2" too short

so over to the mens side, where they come in colors like white, brown, metallic silver with fugly orange edges, and now neon pink

over to the trail shoes and try 10 pair on hoping for one thats the right size, and wont cause metatarslargia pain, ignore colors (at least brown is common) get home try again, wear for a day and the pain starts.

Don't get me started on dress shoes, or dress clothes

bel, if you have a "Vanity" nearby, GO THERE. They sell pants (many times on clearance for $20 a pair of jeans) and sweats for $10. The pants go from XS to XXL. The jeans go up to 38" inseam...some had 40" inseam, but you have to look hard for those. 35" is what I wear and the pants aren't usually ridiculous tight either. Some fit lower than others...but the selection is amazing. The shirts are "alright", but too expensive for my tastes. Give me a Burlington Coat Factory and I'm happy.

Now..I like shopping when I can find things that fit, ESPECIALLY on Clearance. As a matter of fact, unless it's an absolute emergency to find something, I will ONLY look in the clearance areas.

I HATE shopping when I don't fit in anything. Once I lose this weight, Vanity will be the ONLY place I shop for my jeans at again. I miss the length...

Clothes--I have to be in the mood to shop for..but, my DH said, let's go shopping, they are having a sell...guess I needed some new pants? I got some capris and a shirt.
Now, when it comes to shoes..that's a different story..when I see "that" pair, I know it!

Shopping for clothes is fun IF:
1. I am alone
2. I have money to spend
3. There is a good sale rack
4. I don't need to be somewhere else very soon

Shopping for clothes is not fun IF:
1. Someone is waiting for me
2. I don't have money
3. The stuff on sale is on sale for a reason
4. I can't find anything that isn't "Teenybopper", "Slut" or "Old Lady"
5. Salespeople are trying to "help" me. Usually not much of a problem anymore.

So if anyone wants to send me some money, I know of a really good sale! I had bariatric surgery in 2002, and now clothes shopping is WAY more fun. I used to have a charge account at "Catherine's Stout Shop", at least that's what they used to call it. Once I got a pair of knit stretchy top pants there for 87¢, need I say ON SALE? Oh my, it was not pretty. . .

I like shopping but hardly ever shop for a set reason. I have to shope once a week du to visitation for my older kids and it just happens to be in the middle of no where but there is a local mall. I shop for my kids shoes as I see them on sale as it's cheaper that way( usually get payless bogo marked down shoes!

I am not real big on shopping but IF I have enough money for them, I do like to get new clothes. Though mostly over the years my shopping has been to get kids clothes.
