I’m on the hunt…this year is the year I find a good mix. Gonna have to try that last of the garden business too! Trying new cucumber varieties as well.
It's so much fun canning new things! My cucumbers didn't do good this year, so I'm excited to improve this year in planting and figure it out.

It really is! New hobby for me. I’m stupid, it was my first year getting into gardening and I was afraid nothing would grow, so I planted like 10 cucumber plants. Ended up swimming in cucumbers. Learning to pickle and can them was the only choice!

That's awsome! A great place to get seeds from is Baker's Creek Heirloom Seeds. I've always had alot of luck with them and I love that their seeds are clean!

Oh man. Don’t get me started. Someone else on here mentioned they have some awesome varieties and there went my whole paycheck! Happy to hear you’ve had luck with them, though. They really had so many temping fruits, veg and flowers. We haven’t had a chance to try anything we ordered from them yet, it’s all just sitting in a box…staring at me…waiting for spring haha.

That's so easy to do! I want to try them all, but when the time comes to harvest I have no idea what to do with everything. Haha How big is your garden?

I absolutely understand! Not big at all. Stuck to mainly container gardening, I would say 14 large pots and 5 gallon buckets for peppers/tomatoes and two medium sized trellis containers for cucumbers. But I said a Hail Mary did plant in a probably 5x8 area next to the drive way and had some great luck growing squash, watermelon and more cucumbers. This year I’m going to be more organized about things and not so “chaos gardener”. How about yours?

Dang it this thread making me crave pickles. Going down to get some i canned last year.

I hate waste and I planted wayyyy too many cucumbers so it was the best thing to do! You will have to share if you end up canning. Plus, I agree with homemade ones being better!
Homemade/garden grown is always so much better!

I will definitely share what i end up doing! I was thinking about peaches too. Watermelons don’t seem to work at all for me :idunno
