Yes, we name ours, especially the favorite/special ones. We have 12, 4 different breeds. The problem with naming your chickens is that if you have all the same breed or several of a couple different breeds is that the older they get they tend to all look alike and it's hard to tell who's who. Plus it makes it harder if you plan on culling them and eating them.
 
Yep! Our rooster's full name is Roscoe's Chicken 'n Waffles (Roscoe for short)...my son named one of our hens Optimus Prime Chicken! :)
 
Yes i name my Birdies we have Fred, Hope, Faith, Big Momma, Sue, Moon AKA MoonShine, Tweety, Loudmouth, Johnny, Jack, Houdini, Twilight, Halo, Mickey, Z, Buddy, Chance, Blaze, Grace, Nugget Jr, Chickadee, Mercy, Thats all i can think of right now i will be back LOL
 
I name the really special ones.

A lot of times they'll be named after book characters. E.g., Hermione, Tonks, Remus, Sirius, Percy, Annabeth. All the silkies are named as well, because... let's face it, they're extra special
