do you put stuffed animals in with the baby chicks

I had a lone chick hatch last year. We put a stuffed animal in with him and he pretty much ignored it. But we also put a little mirror in there with him and he loved it. He would get as close to his image as he could and go to sleep. I know he thought it was another chick. And btw, he adjusted very well when I put him in the main coop with the other chickens. And of course, he was a roo.

I have 1 little bantam cochin fella (or girl) that hatched with a'bum' leg. I didnt want to put her/him in with the larger chicks, so we gave him/her a little bird stuffed animal. He loved it. He now has other hatchling bantam cochins in with him, and they love it too. The like to stand on it, sleep on it, etc....
I know this is an old post, but I have the same exact type of chick, with a bum leg! I was searching for ideas to make her more comfortable as the other girls don’t like her hopping into them :/ I hope yours did well!

I found some fuzzy dog toys and warmed them in the dryer. I put two in with them and they all immediately snuggled into them. My little Cochin snuggled right in and passed out. I’m definitely going to be looking for a feather duster!
