We bought 9 1 day old chicks from Meyer Hatchery on May 30, one died in an accident:( we have 2 Golden laced wyandottes, 2 Black australorps, 2 buff orpingtons, one silver laced Cochin and a buff Brahma (our biggest sweetheart!).
I suspect one or both of our australorps are male. Which we are kinda hoping for one guy to have around. These girls (and perhaps some boys) are 12 and a half weeks old. The australorp with an all black head is ‘Crow’ and the other is ‘Tiny’. Tiny is the one I most suspect being a rooster, took forever to get any tail feathers in and his tail has always stuck ‘up’ more. No one has started crowing yet and our Cochin and Brahma still do chick type sounds (no bawking yet for them!). Here are some pics of our precious little flock, please tell me what you think!

Thanks so much for all of your replies. I guess if all are pullets we can choose a rooster breed we want. Kiki, I did not know about the color of the feet with australorps! It was strange bc the australorps look very different from each other. One’s head is completely black (comb, beak) and her head shape is different plus she is almost as big as our buff Brahma! Maybe we do have a New Jersey Giant by mistake! Good catch, you all are so knowledgeable I would not have ever noticed this!
