I'm expecting our first hatch using a broody hen, and am not sure how common it is for the rest of the flock to take to the new arrivals. I have 12 other hens and a rooster, and they were all raised together and are friendly with each other. How likely is it for the other chickens to attack the new peeps when they are born? They live in an enclosed coop and pen, so nowhere really for them to escape to if needed. I have options for moving the hen and her peeps if needed, but then would it ever be possible to introduce them back into the flock? Thanks!
