I like to use Vi-Tal. You can purchase at most farm stores. I get is at Orscheln's. One fourth teaspoon per gallon of water. You can mix it with feed also, but don't know dosage right off hand. I try not to medicate my flock if at all possible (I like to know that my family and friends are not eating medicated eggs and meat); but do use this on occasions of extreme temps, (cold or hot), stress, and putting new chickens in with the flock. It is still safe to eat the eggs while on this, which is why I use this particular brand. I'm sure that there are other brands safe to use also if you can't get Vi-Tal. Just read the package before buying if you want to insure that eggs/meat are safe after treating. Most will give time length of not to consume after using.

I use Vi-Tal as well during stressful times...moving the birds, severe heat etc. Seems to be a good product.
