Do you think I'm making a break through?

I got 2 new silkies approximately 20+/- weeks old. They were very flighty and very pecky! I've been watching myself and trying to hold them everyday. They still peck and nip some, but NEVER draw blood... in fact it doesn't hurt at all. They run away pretty fast when I put them down, but don't seem to fight as much.

Do you think they'll stop pecking at me soon? Do you think these are signs they are starting to relax to me? I'd like the kids to be able to start holding them soon but I absolutely don't want them to hurt the youngin's.

Sokies are so pretty! How long have you had them? Chickens are flighty birds as it is, but when they get used to your voice they won't be so flighty. Some birds are more nervous then other breeds. Whenever I have new chickens I bring them treats and talk quietly to them. It takes time.Your birds may not be used to humans. Good Luck!
