    could be I don't think I have ever seen striped that defined on their back though.

    could be an EE which are fun too, and they can come in that color too.

    It's not barring, it's juvenile partridge type feathering.
    The chick could be a Production Red.

    Thanks a bunch! I have never had a production red and she really doesn't look like my previous RIR pullets...so I was confused! Thanks for the clarification!

    I think she would have to have the slate/green legs to be an ee, but I would have loved that.

    EE can have any coloring of feathers or legs, they can have muffs/beard/tufts or not and lays any colored egg of the rainbow.
