Do you wash your eggs before using?

Mine aren't laying yet.. Maybe one of the "older" members can answer. I've only had my babies for 4 months now.

I don't eat eggs but I know many people who don't wash off eggs that appear to be clean.

For you to eat, no you dont have to. State law may require it if given to others.

As for the incubator. I dont wash all mine cause I am lazy but its better to wash all of them.

I just rinse them for a moment under hot water, no scrubbing, then let them dry off before storing them in the fridge. If they have poop or whatever on them, I will lightly scratch it off under the running water, but I am careful not to remove the natural coating on the shell.

The main reason I rinse them at all is because I give a lot of them to family and friends, and it's just a precaution for them. If I were just keeping them for home use I would just wash off poop/mud if any.
