Do you work in the medical field? Post here

Well I ran ems for 2 years and now I drive a school bus for special needs kids and I also drive for special needs adults. I love it. My kids think they have it bad but they just have not seen the other part of the people. Thanks to dad. Get past that, and someone may have a complaint. Hiding your kids is worse than anything. Hubby got into the JW religion with his mommy and sister and has tried to hide my kids from the world. I think it is wrong and anyone who things these people don't deserve a chance like we do. Sorry just my rant after today.

I've been a CNA/ER Tech since 2004. Right now, I work all over the hospital- everything from ER to Medical/Surgical to ICCU to OB/GYN. I just got accepted to go back to school, at 26 years old, for my bachelor's degree in nursing. As soon as I'm done, I want to be a full time ER nurse. Wish me luck!

I worked reception for the clinic my mother (FNP) ran for a few months while the regular receptionist was caring for her ailing mother.

I groomed dogs for a few years until a back injury (and degenerative disc disease) forced me to close my business, at which point I went back to school.

Currently, I am a medical transcriptionist. I graduated in February. My first job was an awesome acute care account but paid a very low rate with LONG delays in pay. After quickly tiring of not being paid for months at a time, I found an awesome company and LOVE my job. I work on a neurology/pain managment account for a really difficult ESL and just picked up an OB/GYN account. I love the challenge this job offers and also like the behind-the-scenes aspect of helping people.

Medical Laboratory Technician working the Emergency Stat Lab (all by myself) all night in a Level 2 Trauma Center in a scary part of town.(Yeah - I'm a Trauma Junkie) Whew! If they find a cure for stupidity and violence, I'll be out of work! lol
I also have a degree in Veterinary Technology and work part time at a veterinary clinic. (I love employee discounts!)
If I put both degrees together, do you think I could make them into one really neat one?
I want a Bachlor of Science degree, cuz I think BS just fits so well after my name!

hmmm, Trauma Junkie - that might make a cool siggy...... because in what little spare time I have, I ride the ambulance with a fireman/paramedic buddy just for grins and giggles-and to see pure stupidity in action.
