i was supposed start learning spanish this summer and then I was going to volunteer for the hospital.

Instead I started building chicken runs then brooders and now I am trying to build a bator:rolleyes:

I don't really work in the medical field...at least not yet, but I am a volunteer EMT with a local squad. After I finish college, I'm figuring I'll probably get into something medically related, but who knows?

Another one chiming in.
I started out as a venipuncturist (aka: The bloodsucker:rolleyes:) and did simple lab tests. Then went onto a Medical Office Assistant, and then eventually a Vet Tech. I worked with several clinincs, including one that was directly in contact hourly with the clinic on Animal Planet's, Emergency Vets. I got to know Dr. Kevin quite well, cool guy and Mu shu, the potbelly pig, was one of our clients who recieved acupuncture from Dr. Holly..

I'm just a Mom now, since you have to be certified on all of this stuff now, but back in the day, I did everything from record keeping, to x rays, dentals, assisting in surgery, everything. It was the most fun I've ever had working.

Now I have my 3 children and my chicken kids to keep me busy, but there are times I miss it.

The oldest dh is 17 and a juniour firefighter in training now and is looking to sign up for EMT and Red Cross training along with Fire Science.
