Do you work in the medical field? Post here

have been a nurse for 34 years, mostly high tech pediatrics. Now working and loving my job as a case manager for a home health company in western NC !

I'm an RN. I've worked med-surg, peds, telemetry, and OB. OB was my favorite... wanted to get my masters as CNM, but just don't seem to have the time.
I currently work for the Commonwealth of Pa. It's mostly a management job. A lot of case management and that sort of thing.
But, hey, it's a job... pays for all these chickens! (& peafowl!)

LPN for 16 years with experience in a lot of different fields of nursing. Right now I'm doing hospice nursing.

wow Beekissed, that's a whole lotta school to pay for. Congrats to both of them and you for raising them

Thanks! But I can't take any credit for paying for the schooling. One boy has joined the Army Nat'l Guard and will serve his country in exchange for help with school charges.

The other one is attending a community based college and will qualify for a Pell Grant and also is working part time to make up the difference.

The youngest joined the Nat'l Guard also and will be going into Criminal Justice.

We do live in a great country, where the opportunities to get a decent education are good and one can get help in affording to do it.
