Do young growing Roosters need a roll models to crow

Hi all, I am new to raiding chickens. I have a rooster about 13 weeks old that I hatched and raised. He has no parental role models to learn from. Consequently his crow is kind of awkward. It sounds like a dying chicken! my question is do young maturing rooster need a “parental” figure/ older rooster to model after make a normal sounding crow? Please let me know.

No its normal for them to sound like that while they're learning to perfect it. Hes fine

Mine sounded like that too. It was kind of funny to hear lol but he is getting it right. Took a few weeks

I third this. Young roosters finding their voice sound like young teen boys with their voices breaking.

He is in that awkward teenage voice breaking stage. He will keep practicing and get better.
