Do your chickens get dirty in the rainy weather? Should I wash em?

I was curiouse. Its my first time doing meat chickens and im doing the tractor thing moving them daily. We are getting alot of rain and i find the floor of their pen can be muddy by the end of the day. Im tring to move them 2 times a day now, but they deffinitly look a little mangy. It doesnt take them long when its raining out to rip up the grass and get right to the mud. Im going to be taking them for proccessing in about 3 weeks and wondered do you wash them first before taking them? Their not like filthy but its enough to make me slightly uncomfortable. Does anybody else have this problem and if so what do you do or how can i keep them cleaner?

No washing needed. They will dry. When they do they clean up themselves just fine. If you can bring them in on a dry day for processing.

I have hoop houses that I cover half or more with tarps. Keeps the direct rain off of them, but they still get muddy. Try a tarp or two.
