Do your hens create nice, tidy circular nests for their eggs?

Some mornings it takes my bantams an hour each to lay an egg. Each one spends ages hollowing out a nest in the wood shavings, then lays the egg perfectly in the middle. When one is laying, the others wait for her even if I have opened the door for them to free range. If they are out and one goes back to lay, they all go back in to wait. They get off the nest as soon as they have an egg. I don't bother having more than one nest box as they all insist on laying in the same one.
A friend with large bred birds saw one climb on to the back of one already in the box. She settled and then layed an egg on the back of the other bird.

My Lilith did that once, only there were already two LF hens sharing the box. She just climbed in on top of the two and laid her egg on the ones back.
