I have 20 week old girls and a couple of them seem to cluck/sing when the sun comes up - around 6 am or so.... it can be a little loud (annoying) any one else experience this? Usually doesn't last long, but I always worry about the neighbors.

Mine do. Sort of a quiet chorus of cooing and singing, not really clucking, but a sort of happy, contented "welcome the morning" type of noise. It doesn't last long, or my neighbors would complain, My sister says it's not really that loud but it seems loud to me since I worry about the neighbors, too.

ooooh! I have never heard this! I am going to go and listen tomorrow morning! I hear them coo and chirp when they are settling down in the evening, but never the morning song. Do they do this every morning?

Mine do too, but it is a very soft, contented clucking sound. My neighbors are a good distance away so I have no worries there. As a matter of fact, one of my neighbors was wondering why I had so many dogs running around my yard, she had no idea I had chickens.

I don't know if it's every morning. I notice when/if I have my bedroom window open. It wakes me up - they are right out side my window. I haven't had an complaints, but I wonder if the neighbors hear it. Some times I do close my window so I don't have to hear them if they keep it up. I have 2 dark cornish hens that are kinda 'chatty'.

Some of mine seem to do this as well. Kind of like a sing-song noise, but not very loud. I can hear it when I get within 30 ft of the coop.
I don't get up with the chickens, either, though...I'm just coming home from work!
