Massive eggs from Teeny Hen

Neither the age (8 weeks) nor the twice a day should be happening. What other pullets/hens do you have? What breed is she, and what are the she started at laying at 6 wks. Gave me 2 eggs today. She even game me a huge huge egg with 2 yolks and 1 small egg inside of 1 large

I have her in a cage outside with 3 other femals. Coturnix italian color. She was laying large eggs from the get go but now it's weird ones everyday 5 days or so. They r all female all coturnix

So these are quail?

Ok, I’m completely out of my league here.

Any quail folks around? @WildNectarine I know you raise quail. Any thoughts, or can you send out the bat signal to others who might be familiar with this?

Thanks so much for tagging me! I actually just covered this with this person in another post, but I think that it’s fine for now, probably an early layer glitch, if it causes the bird problems or theres other symptoms then it could be a reproductive issue, and that would depend on the type of issue.

Yes. Ill keep an eye out... i read it's not that uncommon but it's been ongoing that's why I was curious if any other quail owners also encountered it!
